The GDP Monitor, calculated by the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the GetĂșlio Vargas Foundation (FGV Ibre) revealed that in the last three months of 2022 the Brazilian economy grew by 0.4% compared to the previous quarter.
According to Juliana Trece, research coordinator, this growth reflects the positive performance of agricultural, industrial and service activities. In the interannual comparison, in this same period in 2021, the economy grew by 3.2%.
The research coordinator also states that even with this positive performance, the result of the third quarter showed a loss of strength in the economy, as it presented a lower growth rate when compared to the first and second quarters of 2022.
